Please be respectful of our property and that of our neighbors, and pick up
after your pet. We are happy to supply pickup bags for you when you need
them. If you need help with clean up, please let us know.
- No water and food should be given to dog/puppy an hour before
grooming session
- No second person apart from pet's guardian in the grooming area
- No young children allowed in grooming area during meet n greet or
grooming appointment
- No other pets allowed apart from pet client

Your dog/puppy must be on a leash and harness or in a carrier when entering
the premises. It conveys to your pet that this is a time to behave. When your
dog is under control, they are much easier for us to work with.
Pet must be current on all of their vaccinations before a grooming session with
4PW. Pets who are not current on vaccinations will be refused grooming services
until vaccinations are current for the safety of your pet as well as the other pet
clients present in the shop. Proof of vaccinations (printed copies) from your
veterinarian will be required before grooming services will be given.
Flea infestations usually lead to your animal acquiring tapeworms-an intestinal
parasite. TAPEWORMS CAN BE TRANSMITTED FROM PETS TO HUMANS. That's
why we take fleas seriously! In the event of finding parasites such as, fleas &
ticks. 4PW reserves the right to refuse service to groom your pet. 4PW
suggests that you treat your pet 5 days before the scheduled appointment with
one of the many effective flea preventives that are out on the market.
Harsh chemicals used on flea dips are harmful to the environment. Due to this
nature, we do not offer this service.
4PW has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your
pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, 4PW has the right to
refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services
at any time before or during the grooming process. Some pets may need the
services of a groomer who is working within a veterinarian's clinic/hospital so
that the pet may be properly sedated for grooming. 4PW does not groom pets
under sedation.
4PW has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your
pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, 4PW has the right to
refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services
at any time before, during, or after grooming.
Said pet's owner will also be responsible for all payments of any or all of the
medical expenses, emergency medical treatments, hospital costs, and recovery
costs including physical therapy incurred by the groomer or any person, may it
he/she be employed by 4PW or a family member, for any harm or damage
caused by your pet, should medical treatment be necessary.
We want to make sure your puppy’s first grooming appointment and first
grooming experience is a positive and pleasant one. The first time for
grooming of any animal may sometimes be very scary and stressful. Time and
patience are the keys to a positive grooming experience. A good first grooming
experience for the younger animal leads to a better overall grooming
experience for your pet in the future. More time may be necessary to work with
the younger animals. Pets are individuals; some pets may become more
stressed than others. If your pet becomes stressed over it's first grooming,
time and patience, with a little homework on your part should help build your
younger pet's confidence, and assure the pet that grooming is a positive
experience. On occasion, some pets due to breed, genetics, health concerns,
etc. may be stressed by grooming for their entire life, but this is rare. If this
should occur, extra care will be taken and only the very basics will be done for
grooming of this type of personality. In some cases an animal may never
come to accept some or all of the grooming experience.
Senior pets and pets with serious illness or medical conditions have a greater
chance of injury or death during their grooming experience. Every effort will be
made to make sure your senior or ill pet's grooming experience is as safe and
as comfortable as possible. Extra time may be needed for the ill or senior pet
to allow the animal to be as comfortable as possible. Muzzling may also be
required during your ill or senior pet’s grooming experience, since ill or senior
animals have lower tolerance levels. Muzzling is only done (for the first 10 to
15 minutes till he/she calms down) when necessary to ensure the safety of
both animal and the groomer. 4PW has the right to stop/refuse service to ill or
senior pet if it is felt that grooming will cause undue stress or be harmful to the
animal. 4PW will not be held responsible for the death of any pet during
grooming.
If your pet's coat is matted or tangled, there will be an additional fee added to
your groom price. We do not de-mat pets in severe condition. We do not want
to cause any discomfort or potential injury by attempting to brush out severely
matted hair. If mats are tight close to the skin, there can be additional risk of
injury or inadvertent nicks of the skin. Rather than giving them a traumatic
experience with us, please let us use our discretion when making the decision
of whether to de-mat their coat or start fresh. We really do know what is best
for your wee one. And don't worry, hair grows!
We ask that you drop off your dog/pup between 8 AM and 10 AM on a work
week.
9:00 and 10 A.M. on limited Saturday. This schedule is subject to change
without further notice. CLOSED on major holidays.
We will arrange a convenient time for you to pick up your pup, or we will call
you when he/she is ready. In case you work full-time, we have a pick up and
drop off service (offered only to fellow residents), or a limited daycare, which is
offered to all, depending on our availability. We do not offer this service
per/hour, but a fixed Day Care fee is charged to you.
To CANCEL an appointment, please call 48 hours in advance. Please
understand if an appointment is not kept (without notice), you are subjected to
a cancellation fee. If 4 Paws Whisperer Pet Care does not receive a 48-hour
notice, a re-booking fee will be applied.

- Full payment is due upon pickup.
- Bad checks incur a $25 fee. No exceptions.
Pet Parents should not show up early at the shop. We work with very sharp
grooming tools and the result of a distraction would make your pet jump off
the table and risk in injuring or choking itself. The result will also make it
difficult for the groomer/pet stylist to finish the grooming process. To avoid
further risk and frustration, please wait till your groomer gives you a call for
pick up.
Please look over your pet upon pickup. Let us know if there are any changes
you would prefer on future appointments. We will take notes of those
requested changes. If you have ANY questions about the care or grooming we
have given your pet, please let us know within 24 hours of your pet's grooming.
If you let us know within 24 hours, we will be happy to go over your pet's trim
to meet your satisfaction. Anything beyond 24 hours we will make note of any
changes you would like made, for future grooming.
